According to the CDC, over 443.000 people die in the U.S, each year due to respiratory diseases caused by smoking. Despite the numerous anti smoking campaigns and the alarming number of deaths caused by smoking, a lot of people continue to smoke. The fact is that smoking kills slowly but steadily and painfully. Perhaps a better understanding of respiratory diseases caused by smoking, will help smokers better understand the risks that they are exposing themselves to.
